System Stability Measurement with Windows Reliability Monitor

Reliability Monitor is an advanced tool that measures software, hardware, and other changes to your computer. It logs record information related to your PC's stability and calculates a System Stability Index rates on a scale of 1 (the least stable) to 10 (the most stable).

By Selecting a specific period in time, you may review the specific hardware and software problems that have impacted your system.

The Reliability Monitor was designed and intended for advanced computer users, such as software developers and network administrators.

Reliability Monitor provides a quick view of how system stability. It tracks and log events that will help you identify failures in memory, hard disk, application, hardware and operating system failures. reliability3

In Windows Vista, Reliability monitor is combined with Performance monitoring for easy troubleshooting of your system to increase overall system performance.

To access the snap-in module, type “performance”… in the start menu search.

Launching the application in Windows 7

The easiest way to launch the application in Windows 7 is to enter “relia” in the Start menu's search and press Enter.

Click View reliability history.

In Reliability Monitor, you can:

- Click any event on the graph to view its details.

- Click Days or Weeks, to view the stability index over a specific period of time.

- Click items in the action column to view more information about it.

- Click View all problem reports to see the problems that have occurred on your computer.

This view does not include the other computer events that show up in Reliability Monitor, such as events about software installation.
