How to get the Clients and Server IP address


dos Internet Protocol (IP) address identifies the computer that is connected to a network and provides location address. An IP address usually consists of four groups of numbers e.g. 192.200.44.69

 

In this article I’m going to discuss some simple ways to get your IP address for both local and public.


How to get the IP Address using ipconfig.exe

   Default Gateway . . . . . . . . .: 192.200.44.1

Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection:

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :


Using WinBubble

Open the application < go to Windows Utilities Tab < Useful tools group and open the “IP Configuration Utility” to get your ip address.

Using the Network Connection Window

If your computer is directly connected to a DSL modem (not using a router), It’s easy to get the servers IP address using the Network Connection Window.

Open the network connection window (How? Read here)

Right-Click > Status

 

 

 

Click the Details Tab

Alternatively, If your computer is behind a proxy server or firewall, you can get the Public ip address by using web applications to get your servers IP address.
